This guide will run through the steps for creating a configuring a depot with Vehicle and People data. This is the common data required for all functionality in the application.

Start by opening the Depot Manager application...

Creating a Depot

If a depot hasn't already been created, create one now:

1. Click the Add Depot button on the top-left corner. This will create an "Unnamed Depot".
2. Click on the Depot Settings button on the top-right corner.
3. Click "Name" to show the Depot Name field. Change the depot name and click the "Update Depot Name" button.

Vehicles

Vehicle data is required for most functions of Depot Manager, including Vehicle Allocation, Daily Check, Driver Log, Defect Reporting and Run Out Check. To add vehicle data:

1. Open the "Vehicles" section under "Common".
2. Click the "Add Vehicle" button.
3. Input the Vehicle Number and Vehicle Registration. Click "Add Vehicle". Repeat these steps for each vehicle.

Alternatively, Vehicles can be bulk input using the Import tool. To import:

1. Click the "Import" button on the Vehicles section.
2. Paste in the vehicle number and registrations, separated by a comma, into the large text box. This can be copy and pasted from other sources such as a spreadsheet.
3. Check the data to be imported in the table and click the "Import Vehicles" button.

People

People data is required for most functions, except for Vehicle Allocation. To add people data:

1. Open the "People" section under "Common".
2. Click the "Add Person" button.
3. Input the Employee Number, Given Name and Family name. Click "Add Person". Repeat these steps for each person.

Alternatively, People can be bulk input using the Import tool. To import:

1. Click the "Import" button on the People section.
2. Paste in the Employee Number, Given Name and Family name, separated by a comma, into the large text box. This can be copy and pasted from other sources such as a spreadsheet.
3. Check the data to be imported in the table and click the "Import People" button.
